Pearl Harbor anniversary got me thinking

if Pearl Harbor hadn't happened or had gone differently would my life be any different?

Count, Contessa, Count Jr and the rest of Count's family are pretty lucky to live in North America.  We are far away from major strife, wars etc and are free to do pretty much anything we want.

Would that have been different had the Japanese won WWII, aka been more successful at Pearl Harbor and held out for an honourable surrender?  What if the Germans had not been stopped at Moscow.  On December 5, 1941 the German advance stopped as much due to the cold as anything.  In less than six months, most of European Russia had been conquered but they couldn't capture Moscow and despite the advance to Stalingrad the next year where catastrophe basically doomed the German hope for victory, Germany was never the same after not taking Moscow.  It was Germany's first defeat in WWII.

Would the world be different had Moscow fallen?

Would my life be different?

Given the weight of the countries against the Axis powers in WWII, it is unlikely they ever could have won but when one thinks of it, a three day stretch in December 1941 turned the war against the Axis.  Japan took on an opponent it could never beat and Germany was stopped.

If those three days had gone differently so might the rest of the war.  I believe the allies would have prevailed but it might have taken much longer and cost millions more lives.
