Well the boys took out the Senators tonight in another workmanlike performance. Other than giving up a late first period power play goal against, they pretty much played a perfect first period and were ahead 1-0 on a Cammalleri power play goal.
The only real blemish in the performance was a weak five minute power play after Chris Kelly tried to drive Weber's head through the end boards. We did nothing on the power play and lost a bit of momentum but got it back early in the third on an early goal for Jeff Halpern. Gionta and Hamrlik fnished the scoring for us.
18-8-2, scored first in 19 games so far. We have given up less than two goals a game (54 in 28 games).
Price stopped 27 of 28 shots and didn't even get a star.
Ho hum, another win.
Detroit and Toronto back to back are next.
