Well after a poor start and in the face of calls for Roy Williams' head, the Tar Heels have grown as a team and are now 16-5 including 6-1 in conference play. They are second in the ACC and are tied with Duke in the loss column (Duke has played two more conference games).
Larry Drew II decided to throw a wrench into the team's recent success on Friday when he is father informed Roy Williams his son was quitting the team immediately and would be transferring. Not coincidentally it occurred just after Kendall Marshall took over as the starting point guard and team was scoring more than it did when Drew ran the point.
They take on Florida State today at home before taking on Duke on Wednesday in Durham.
