I wonder if the Heisman and BCS

folks hope Auburn loses today and then in two weeks in the Iron Bowl against Alabama.  That would give them an easy out NOT to give the Heisman to Cam Newton and to let LSU (assuming of course it wins it's games against Mississippi and Arkansas) play in the SEC championship.

Unless you have been under a rock, Cam Newton star QB for Auburn and front runner for the Heisman, is under a major cloud of suspicion regarding his recruitment and for academics while he was Tim Tebow's backup at Florida.  It is rumoured his dad was paid huge coin to have his son go to Auburn.  If true, Auburn would of course lose all it's wins this year and if, as is entirely possible, it wins the BCS championship, it would be stripped of same.

The last thing the Heisman folks want is another Reggie Bush incident and I am sure the BCS doesn't want to strip a winner of its championship.

It would be so much simpler if LSU was in the national championship as a 1 loss team than an unbeaten Auburn team.
