Bye O'Byrne, we won't be missing you

Canadiens traded Ryan O'Byrne to the Avalanche today for 18 year old Michael Bournival.

He won't be missed.  He had fallen to 8th dman, was in the press box every game and really had no place in our future.

He will always be best known for the Tampa Bay incident where he was charged with stealing a girl's purse, which ironically brought the team together especially after a fan in Florida threw a purse onto the ice the next game.  The team went on a tear and took first place that year.  One version of the story though was that he stole the purse to protect former teammate Cristobal Huet as the girl's cell phone had photos of Cristobal with someone other than his wife (allegedly).

We had too many dmen so now we can bring a forward up.
