You know if I believed in conspiracy theories, I would think all these terror plots that are discovered or foiled right near US elections were set ups either to prove the existing President/Congress are tough or weak on terror.
Yesterday, a "plot" against jewish centres in Chicago was thwarted when suspicious packages were found. Both Canadian and US fighter jets shadowed suspected planes etc.
There's a US mid term election next Tuesday. As expected, there are many out there who think Obama is soft on terrorism, so they can say see, we need strong Tea partiers/Republicans there to fight terror. Democrats can say, see we are vigilant and we stopped things so you are safe with us in power.
In the end, people going to the election booth likely will vote based on how they are doing financially, not whether some terrorist wants to blow him/her up, but be prepared for a few long days of terror scares before Tuesday.
Tina Fey aka Sarah Palin is out there stumping for a bunch of tea party/mama grizzly candidates. I guess she isn't a hockey mom anymore because if she were, she would be at the rink on weekends like I will be for two games for Count Jr.
