Elizabeth Edwards, wife of former US Vice President nominee and Presidential hopeful John Edwards died today after a lengthy battle with breast cancer. For those of you who do not remember, John Edwards was the guy who knocked up filmmaker Rielle Hunter when she worked for his presidential campaign. His aide claimed he was the father but that was only to cover up for John's dalliances.
As is usually the case, the one who had the affair had been critical of previous dalliances by other politicians but ultimately got his hands caught in the honeypot so to speak.
What made it worse is that Elizabeth Edwards had breast cancer at the time he had his dalliance so John looked even more cadlike than he normally would have in the situation (face it why go into politics if you can't line your pockets and have a lot of sex?).
Anyway, Elizabeth remained classy throughout the whole sordid affair.
