Tonight, the Whalers come to town. I hate the Whalers more than just about any team not named Vancouver Canucks. I remember the days when they had Paul Lawless, Torrie Robertson, Kevin Dineen Ray Ferraro and Ron Francis. Who couldn't hate them. They were the small market parasite in the old Adams Division.
Nothing game me more satisfaction than when Claude Lemieux and Russ Courtnall scored in overtime (twice) to knock those losers out of the playoffs.
Even though they now play out of Raleigh North Carolina and are called the Hurricanes, they are still the Whalers to me.
