Three plays tonight encapsulated the Cowboys season

In what will go down as one of the worst in the 50 years of Dallas Cowboys' football, three plays tonight told you all you need to know about the season.

First, for once we had a missed FG by an opposing kicker, for some reason for years opposing kickers make more against us than they do against every other team.  Stephen Bowen blocked the kick and we should have had decent field position but a Cowboy player kicked the ball illegally so instead of having the ball near the 35, we ended up at the 20.

End of the first half, after the Packers made it 21-0, on the ensuring kickoff, McCann was clearly down before he fumbled, but the refs let it go figuring we could challenge the play.  The Packers recovered the fumble and scored to make it 28-0.  We would have won the challenge, had a challenge left but alas, we couldn't challenge as we had no time outs left.

Second half, Mike Jenkins who made the probowl last year but who is having an atrocious year this year, simply refused to try and make a tackle on a play that ended up in a TD.

This year, if anything could go wrong for the Dallas Cowboys, it has.  The players have taken costly penalties, there have been bad coaching decisions and the players have simply not competed.

It all adds up to a 1-7 record and playing out the string.
