Now I know our power play is terrible but perhaps if the power play chances were more even, we could have won the game.
I do not doubt the calls against us were deserved but no one will convince me the small market Senators didn't commit at least one fould in the last 50 minutes of the game. After our 5 on 3 was ended with Cammalleri's penalty, we didn't get another power play all night.
Even fat Dean Brown the Senators home town broadcaster must have wondered how the Senators played penalty free hockey for the last 50 minutes.
Sigh, it has been that way for us for years, always out power played even at home.
fewer power plays was because perhaps the Habs declined them
ReplyDeleteBut yes that does happen and the only way to turn that around is to do it the old fashioned way - skate and forecheck - something that is not happening very much these days

Yeah I know, we didn`t press last night so not much chance of a power play but hell, even when we do, we are out power played. Just the way it has been for us the last few years.
