Cowboys win second in a row

Yes I know it was just against Detroit, a team that hasn't won a road game in over three seasons, but hell this season I will take what I can get.

We moved to 3-7 on the strength of three Kitna TD passes (Austin with two and Bryant with the third), a 34 yard TD run by Jon Kitna on a naked bootleg on 4th and 1 and a stunning 97 yard punt return by McCann.  McCann's was the turning point.  Cowboys trailed 12-7 midway through the third quarter when it looked like the Lions would down the punt inside the five but after a Lion tapped the ball to keep it in the field of play and out of the endzone, it bounced right to McCann who knew he had nothing to lose (he couldn't lose the ball on a fumble or anything as a Lion had already touched it), he started running with it right down the sideline for a TD.  He is the first Cowboy with returns over 95 yards for TDs on successive weeks.  He was probably out of bounds near the Lion 40 but Lion HC Schwartz did not challenge the play.  That put us ahead 14-12 and then shortly after, Austin had his first TD after Jason Hatcher recovered a fumble.

Detroit made it close at 21-19 but two late TDs, (Austin and Kitna) sealed it.

Next up is New Orleans on US Thanksgiving.
