Count Jr's turns seven

Well well, Count Jr who I can still picture being born, turns seven today.

It is hard to believe that the little head I saw trying to blast free of Contessa's stomach is now in Grade 2, playing hockey, etc.  Where have the years gone?

While parenthood can be frustrating, scary and downright unpleasant at times, I wouldn't trade Count Jr for anything (well maybe a lifetime of Canadiens' Stanley Cup championships but I digress).  Seeing him grow has been a joy.

Contessa and I had pretty much given up having children.  Those who know me will understand what I mean but lo and behold, a little miracle came along.  We couldn't be happier or prouder than of him than we are.

I won't state as so many others would that he is the best son or that we love him more than any other parents as that is unfair to other parents.  It is fair to say that no parents love their son more than Contessa and I love Count Jr but that is not the same as saying we love him more.

Happy birthday Count Jr, now go clean your room.
