I have met Gordo in the past, really nice guy. Still he was in power too long.
Problem is, who replaces him.
Dianne Watts? Kevin Falcon?
According to the polls, whomever it is, will be cannon fodder next election.
Personally, I see it as somewhat cowardly to quit now after bringing in the HST and not waiting for the referendum next year. He has now saddled his successor with that referendum and that isn't fair but then again, who said politics were fair.
I told a guy at the office he should run for Premier and then I can be his puppet master from behind the scenes. He hasn't agreed yet. More on that later.
Right now, let's all say, thanks Gordo, don't let the door hit you on the way out.
