scored on us.
Normally it's Carter or Richards who we should have taken over Kostitsyn who hurts us but tonight it was Giroux who scored the tieing goal. For those who don't remember, under the impressive reign of first round error known as the Timmins era, we took David Fischer, an unknown American high schooler who is now in the ECHL after never having played a game for us.
Just think how last year's playoffs would have gone had we taken Carter and Giroux instead of Kostitsyn and Fischer.
We got off to a good start with two goals by Lapierre. He almost made it three but alas hit the goal post in the second. Instead of it being 3-0, Flyers tied it and eventually went ahead in the third.
Despite shakiness from Flyer goalie Brian Boucher, we didn't pepper him enough.
Kostitsyn and Gomez were pretty invisible. Cammalleri not much more visible. Plekanec has now gone three games without a point (he needs to pick it up).
Price was our best player again but cannot be expected to save everything.
Next five are winnable, Kings on Wednesday, then at the Thrashers, home to Sabres and Oilers and away to the Devils.
Time to get back to the winning ways.
