Nice win but damn my PVR

Canadiens won, Giants won, all in all a great night in my house.

Hell, the Canadiens even got goals from players not named Plekanec and Kostitsyn with Darche, Halpern and Moen chipping in.  Great game by PK tonight, Spacek though was brutal and who knows, when Markov is back on Saturday, maybe it won't be Picard sitting on his ass.

Price with another solid game.  Good on you.

Giants over the Rangers in game 1 of the World Series.  Did y'all hear me yell "get me a dog before I die"?   I got home and it was 2-2, walked Max, got back and it was 5-2 Giants, then three run homer and 8-2.  Only one game but they beat Cliff Lee who was unbeatable in the post season.  Giants had to have the game given their ace Lincecum was on the mound.  They did.

Giants haven't won a World Series since my long departed brother Russell was 3 months old (1954).  Hell, they didn't even play in San Francisco that year, they were still in New York at the Polo Grounds.  It was the year Willie Mays made that over the shoulder catch, arguably the greatest catch in baseball history.

Still not sure what happened to my PVR tonight thought.  It didn't record Survivor or America's Next Top Model despite the series recording still being set.  Must be poltergeist or maybe that feral cat that terrorized my wife and dog this morning on their walk.  Feline Cujo attacked my 12 1/2 year old dog and wanted a piece of my wife too.  Little did that cat know my wife is Irish and they don't take crap from anybody.  Good thing that cat didn't try to attack a second time, he might be floating out in the Pacific as Killer Whale bait.
