Damn it's been awhile

I just noticed I haven't blogged in some time.  Sorry guys, I know many of you wait on baited breath for my next post. 

Anyway, there has been a lot going on, first and foremost, we are now having a useless election in Canada because Harper and his Henchmen are so desperate for a majority they will do anything to get one.

Harper and his Henchmen deliberately brought in a budget they knew would not be acceptable to the opposition parties and would be voted down.  The opposition parties who are not really ready for an election took the bait and voted down Harper on a contempt of Parliament charge.  Harper was defeated and as a result, we will end up at the polls on May 2 for the fourth time in seven years.  We used to have stable government in Canada and would laugh at countries like Italy who have elections more often than Jason Kenney has sex (allegedly).  However, we are now like them, fractured Parliaments, minority governments and constant elections.

This one will cost us 300 million and the political landscape might not be that much different than it presently is. 

I will vote Liberal as I always do.  However, I would vote for them even if I wasn't a card carrying member given there is just something about Harper that drives me nuts.  It might be the way he went on FoxNews to rip our government for not joining the illegal war in Iraq, his unthinking support for Israel, his Reform Party membership, the way he shook his son's hand before school, his bad haircut or his beady little eyes.  There is just something about him that annoys me.

Still I am resigned to the fact he will win and likely gets his beloved majority.

I lived through Lyin Brian, I can live through Harper and his Henchmen.
