ACC Tournament

Well despite a brutal stretch early in the year that saw them start 2-2 and then ultimately 7-4 (throw in an atrocious loss at Georgia Tech), the Heels ended up winning the ACC regular season with a 14-2 conference record.  They ended their regular season 24-6 and sixth in the national polls.

This weekend, they play in the ACC tournament to determine the automatic qualifier from the ACC and possibly a 1 seed in the tournament, two things that would have been unthinkable just a few weeks ago.

The Heels have overcome much adversity this year, starting with the Wear twins transferring, then Will Graves being dismissed from the team, Larry Drew II quitting in early February and a season ending injurty to Reggie Bullock.  The Heels are down to 8 scholarship players and rotation.

Right now, few teams in the country can say they are playing better than the Heels.

If they come out of Greensboro with a tournament title, they have an excellent shot at a 1 see.

Go Heels.
