Not a good night

Well the boys didn't have a great game tonight, that is for sure.

After a good first period which ended on a Hal Gill blunder that ended up in our net, we came out flat in the second, were outshot 23-4 and outscored 2-0 to fall behind 3-0.

We really didn't threaten in the third and when we did, Pavelec made the necessary saves to preserve his shutout.

It is hard to say anyone on the team did much tonight.  In fact, I cannot remember any Hab that stood out.

It was just one of those games where we didn't have it.  Not sure why that happens but we all know from our own jobs, there are some days you just don't get anything done.

Interesting part of the game was the prevelence of Afro-Americans/Canadians/Swedes in the game.  Five players were Afro something in the game, Stewart, Oduya, Kane and Bufyglien for the Thrashers and Subban for us.  I don't think I have ever seen a hockey game with that many players of African descent playing.  Shows how hockey is no longer just a white man's game.
